SB School and College of Nursing Bangalore follows certain eligibility criteria to give admissions to students who are eligible to apply for the nursing courses. Students looking for admission to nursing courses should understand the eligibility criteria to apply for the required course.Eligible candidates should download the application form from the college website. Candidates should submit the duly completed application form along with all the necessary documents within the specified date. The seats are allotted based on the scores the qualifying examination. At the time of admission, candidates should submit original documents of marks cards, transfer certificates. The candidates who are allotted seats should pay the fees before the specified date. Students who don’t have eligibility and have scored low in the examination can get direct admission into the college under management quota admission.

At SB School and College of Nursing Bangalore Direct Admission through management quota is not a tedious process. The admission procedure is simple for getting direct admission to nursing courses through management quota. The fee structure for management quota admission is higher than admission through merit.The management reserves the right of admission to any candidate without assigning any reason throughManagement Quota. The Fee structure is different for candidates who are getting admission through management quota. The management quota admission fees are higher than admission through merit quota.

At SB School and College of Nursing Bangalore admissions to all nursing courses are provisional and subject to approval by concerned authority. Applicants who have been selected and found to be non-eligible or disqualified subsequently by the University / Board etc. is not eligible for admission.

Eligibility Criteria for GNM (GENERAL Nursing and Midwifery) Course

  • Candidate should have passed 10+2 with 40% marks in aggregate with 3 optional subjects and English from any recognized board preferably science.
  • SC/ST candidates , should have passed 10+2 with 35% marks in aggregate with 3 optional subjects and English from any recognized board preferably science
  • Candidate should be a Registered ANM.
  • Candidate should have completed 10+2 with Vocational ANM or Health Care science.
  • Candidate should be between Minimum 17 years to maximum 35 years of age.

Eligibility Criteria for BSc Nursing course

  • Candidate should have completed 10+2 with science subjects viz, Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English.
  • Candidate should have scored at least 45% (Forty Five) percent of the total marks in science subjects and English of the qualifying examination.
  • In case of Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe, Candidate should have scored at least 40% (Forty) percent of the total marks in science subjects and English of the qualifying examination.
  • Candidate should have completed 10+2 vocational course with 5 subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
  • Candidate should have passed any other examination conducted by Boards/ Councils/ intermediate Education established by State Governments/ Central Government and recognized as equivalent to two year Pre University examination by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences/ Association of Indian Universities(AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and the candidate shall have passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually and must obtained a minimum of not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (PCBE) taken together in the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribes or other backward classes should have obtained not less than forty percent of the total marks in science subjects and English of the qualifying examination.
  • Candidate should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st day of December of the year of admission.
  • Candidate should be medically fit.

Eligibility Criteria for Post Basic BSc (P.B.B.Sc) Course

  • Candidate should have a diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM).
  • Candidate should be a registered Nurse.
  • Candidate should be medically fit.
  • Candidate should have good personnel and professional record.
  • No candidate who is above 48 years of age on 31st December of the year of admission shall be eligible.

Eligibility Criteria for MSc Nursing

  • Candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
  • Candidate should havepassed B.Sc Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with minimum of 55 % aggregate marks.
  • For SC/ ST candidates, Candidate should have passed B.Sc Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with minimum of 50 % aggregate marks
  • Candidate should have Minimum one year of work experience after B.Sc (N).
  • Candidate should be medically fit.
